This little gem is tucked away in the suburbs of Pittsburgh. At first, it seems like it's a bit far from the city and all it has to offer, but it's only 30 minutes to downtown Pgh. We made the trip almost everyday. The cottage is quite comfortable. It has all the modern conveniences. JoAnn is a very congenial host and was open to suggestion and as well as being very responsive to our few extra needs. For instance, there was an issue with the washing machine, so instead of fussing with a repair man, she and her husband simple delivered and installed an brand new one. This was the same day that she had some surgery!! We enjoyed our stay and we highly recommend Josephine's Cottage.

Anyone looking for a realtor or landlord (I will explain this part shortly) look no further, JoAnn Echtler is a one stop shop solution. JoAnn helped us buy our first house 6 years ago and when it was time to sell we called no one else to get the job done. She met with us, listened to our story and then gave very professional advice. Her advice on comps, price points and staging worked so well that the house sold in 5 days during the 2020 pandemic. This was all great news but we had a problem, our new house was still under construction and the timeline was not going to work for a straight line move into the new house. I did an extensive search for temporary living making a ton of phone calls and was coming up empty. This is where "Super JoAnn" swooped into to save our family of four from finding temporary housing. JoAnn had just finished renovating a rental property she was calling "Josephine's Cottage" and she offered us the maiden voyage for 2.5 months until we closed on our new home. When we went to tour the cottage we were thrilled with the size and the very stylish interior design. We didn't think it could get any better until she told us it was fully furnished and all utilities were included. This took a huge weight off our shoulders and made our transition completely seamless. We were able to put 95% of our belongings in storage with the movers so our move in and out was relatively easy.
 
As mentioned the cottage is very stylish and with all the mechanicals fully updated it made our stay very cozy, inviting and relaxing. The two bedrooms made for ample space for my wife and two daughters and our bulldog. The open concept for the living room, dining room and kitchen allowed for many activities with the kids, not too mention the huge yard for the kids and the dog to play. Forgot to mention the front porch swing, it was an awesome place to sit and watch everyone running around the yard. Furthermore, the patio on the back of the house makes a perfect spot to enjoy an afternoon impromptu picnic. In addition, the storage capacity of the basement and two car detached garage was fantastic. As we were waiting for our new house to be done it allowed us the storage to purchase all the items we needed/wanted when we moved in. Lastly, if needed there is an awesome table in the basement that makes for the perfect command center for anyone working from home at the moment. A $20 green screen and you are ready for all of those video meetings. All in all, I can not speak highly enough of JoAnn as a professional realtor or of the cottage. I would recommend both to anyone looking to buy or sell their home and if you need temporary or permanent living JoAnn is your solution!
